CATS
CATS is a public transportation provider serving Staunton,
Waynesboro and Augusta County. All CATS buses are handicap
accessible. For information about any of the CATS services or to
request pickup by the Demand buses, just call (540)
943-9302.
CATS Demand buses can pick you up at your home and take you to a
location in your city, or take you to an established stop where you can
transfer free to the 250 Connector. The 250 Connector does stop
at the Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville. Fare for the Demand
buses is $1 for handicapped and senior citizens (60+) and $2 for all
others.
The NEW 250 Connector
The 250 Connector is a new, fixed route bus service serving Staunton
and Waynesboro downtown areas, the hospital, the shopping mall and some
local businesses. It expands CATS services and adds to the
curb-to-curb on-demand buses CATS currently operates. Fare on the
250 Connector is 50 cents. Transfers to the 250 Connector from
Demand buses are free.
The Connector route will be served by two buses running about one hour
apart from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. In addition to
the connector bus, there will be a demand bus in both Staunton and
Waynesboro that will pick up passengers at their homes and take them to
a stop where they can transfer to the 250 Connector. CATS will
also be operating a bus serving Augusta
County.
