Standard Drawings and Details

These Standard Drawings and Details have been developed for use by developers, consulting engineers, contactors and City Engineering forces working on projects within the City of Staunton. These standards are to be used along with the Design and Construction Standards, City of Staunton, as a guide in preparing drawings specifications and the construction of all projects in the City.

In addition to these Standard Drawings and Details, the City uses the latest revision of the Virginia Department of Transportation's Road and Bridge Standards and the Virginia Erosion and Sediment Control Handbook as the design standard. In case of duplication of standards, the City Standard Drawing will be used.

Unless other drawings and details are approved by the City, these drawings and details will be adhered to during the project construction.

All drawings are provided in Adobe PDF format. Most computers are equipped with the Adobe Reader viewer program. It is also available free from www.adobe.com.
