Taxes, fees & parking tickets
Tax bills, parking tickets and fees can be paid by cash, check or money order. (For information on paying utility bills, click here.) For payment using credit cards or online, see below. Checks and money orders should be made payable to the City of Staunton.

Staunton, VA 24402-0474 - In person at the Treasurer’s Office, City Hall, 116 W. Beverley St.
- By dropping in in the City’s green 24-hour drop box located on Central Avenue under the clock tower. Payments must be check or money order only.
- By dropping in the drop box located inside of City Hall in front of the Treasurer’s office during hours when City Hall is open.
Paying by credit or debit card...
The City of Staunton does not accept direct payment by credit or debit card. However, if you wish to pay with a card, you can use a phone or online payment service to make that payment. These services charge a convenience fee for their service that is in addition to any payment you may be making.
