Commonwealth's Attorney
The Commonwealth's Attorney, Raymond
C. Robertson, is responsible for all criminal prosecutions in the City
of Staunton. In addition, the Commonwealth's Attorney renders advisory
opinions, prepares appellate briefs, and serves as chief legal advisor
to the Police
Department.
An Information Guide for Crime Victims and Witnesses is available from the Victim/Witness Program, which has been established to reduce the confusion and trauma that victims and witnesses of crimes experience by explaining the criminal process, and to ensure that these people are aware of the services available to them under the law.
