Ancestry Library Edition

Ancestry Library Edition™ – is a genealogy research tool created for the library market.  It provides instant access to a wide range of unique resources for genealogical and historical research.  With more than 1.5 billion names in over 4,000 databases, Ancestry Library Edition includes records from the United States Census; military records; court, land and probate records; vital and church records; directories; passenger lists and more!  These collections are continuously expanding, with new content added every business day.

Through this site, you can:

  • Cross-search thousands of databases by single or multiple elements.
  • Jump directly to specific collections or databases.
  • Browse collections by state, province or country.
  • Browse original, full-text digital images in the census, immigration and military collections.
  • Download digital images in JPEG and GIF formats for more extensive viewing and printing.
  • Download helpful census extraction forms, ancestral charts, family group sheets, and more.
  • Instantly retrieve a list of genealogy databases posted or updated recently.

Heritage Quest

ProQuest Information and Learning Company's Heritage Quest provides a unique, ongoing collection of research materials for tracing family lineage and American culture, beginning with the 13 original colonies. This collection includes genealogies, local histories, primary source materials, and genealogical and  local history serials. When complete, Heritage Quest will encompass materials from all 50 states including over 7 million pages.
