Board of Zoning Appeals

The Board of Zoning Appeals is comprised of five members appointed by the Judge of the Circuit Court to serve a five-year term for an unspecified number of terms. The Board hears and decides appeals resulting from any order, requirement, decision or determination made by the Zoning Administrator about the enforcement of the zoning ordinance.  The Board of Zoning Appeals has the jurisdiction to grant variances from the zoning ordinance when authorized by law.
