Braves Baseball “Spring Training” Bonanza
Escape to central Florida’s baseball Mecca at Disney’s
Wide World of Sports. Located within Disney’s theme
park in Orlando, this trip has everyone in mind! Get
up close and personal with today’s baseball all-stars,
as spring training is the best time to get autographs
and photos with your favorite players. Enjoy sunny
afternoons at one of the finest ball parks in America
and warm evenings strolling around Orlando. This trip
will take place March 16-19, 2016 and will include air
transportation, hotel and admission to games. Depart the
morning of March 16 from MHP, return the evening of
March 19. (Note: at printing, Braves opponent schedule
has not been set). $550 per person, based on double
occupancy. Must be registered by March 1, 2016.

Vegas Baby! Las Vegas, NV
Fly to Las Vegas on April 12 to enjoy 5 days and
4 nights of nonstop excitement on the world’s most
famous strip! Take in a show, go see the Grand
Canyon, play some desert golf, or gamble 24 hours a
day- you choose what you would like to do once we
arrive in Vegas. Includes: Roundtrip airfare and hotel
accommodations at Excalibur Hotel and Casino. Price:
$585 per person based on double occupancy. Reserve
your spot with $300 deposit with balance due by
March 11.

Charlestown Races
Take a trip to the Casino in West Virginia and try
your luck! Saturday, February 20. Depart GHPG at
10am and return at 10pm. #5516 Price: $24 (Includes

Let’s Go Shopping! Short Pump Town Center
With more than 200 stores to explore, this open air, 2
story, shopping center has it all, from Nordstrom’s to
Crate & Barrel, to the Cheesecake Factory. We’ll drive
while you ride! Saturday February 6. Depart GHPG at
8am, return around 6pm. #5517 Price: $24 (includes

Canoe/Kayak on the James River
Join us for a float on the James River in some of the
most beautiful country in the Shenandoah Valley. This
beginner canoe/kayak trip is great for those with no
experience or those who want to get back out on the
water. Trip is with Twin River Outfitters in Buchanan.
Ages 8 +. Participants must be able to swim and pull
themselves into the canoe. #5518 Saturday April 30.
Depart GHPG at 9:30am, return around 4pm. Price: $50.

Astronomy at Stokesville Observatory
In observance of Astronomy Day, we are headed to the
Stokesville Observatory on Saturday, May 14. There
will be a scope clinic before dark for anyone wanting
help with their personal telescope. Club members
will have their telescopes set up and the observatory
telescope will be in operation. Donations welcome at
the observatory. #5519 Depart GHPG at 7pm,
return around 10:30pm. Price: Free. Space
limited, please call 332-3945 to let us know
if you would like a ride.
