Notions about 2010

The Time For Change Has Come……

So much of what is going on today seems out of balance - from personal well-being to the global crises. The confluence of the world’s economic calamity, natural disasters, wars, and widespread decline of personal health raises this question: Is this a turning point for humanity? Many wonder if there is some deeper meaning or underlying message in the timing and intensity of these imbalances. A change in attitudes and actions are needed to create balance.

Thousands of years ago wise men and visionaries from many religious and spiritual beliefs made predictions that seem to point to our current circumstances. Whether you follow predictions from the Bible's book of Revelations, the Mayan Calendar, Astrology, Native American or other beliefs, they all point to NOW as a critical and landmark time in history of our planet – a time of major change. Change is always happening – at least on some level. Many of us make meaningful change only when forced by crisis. Our current crises are awakening us to our personal and collective responsibilities to transform our human culture to one of HARMONY within ourselves, with each other and with our natural environment. Awakening Common-Unity 2010 focuses on the interconnectedness of our planet and presents sustainable opportunities for change by choice.

Join us on August 28 in Gypsy Hill Park for Awakening Common-Unity 2010. The organizers of this event invite you to participate in this enlightening experience. The occasion will feature over 50 vendors, exhibitors and presenters. The group has an ongoing commitment to raising awareness of green and sustainable possibilities within our community. Building on last year’s expanded interest, there are three vendor/exhibitor categories: Land Stewardship, Natural Health and Personal Growth, and Green Living Architecture. We will have healthful food vendors, a variety of entertainment, scheduled educational presentations, and children's education stations.
